c. Information from third parties
If you choose to sign in using a third-party provider (e.g., a Google account), we receive basic profile information you have authorized that provider to share with us.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- prepare and deliver the reading you have requested;
- process payments and prevent fraud;
- respond to your messages and provide customer support;
- improve, secure, and personalize the Service;
- send service-related notices, account communications, and (where you have consented) marketing messages from which you may opt out at any time;
- comply with legal obligations, enforce our terms, and protect the rights, safety, and property of SOULSTARR and others.
3. Legal Bases for Processing
Where applicable law (such as the EU/UK GDPR or India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023) requires a legal basis for processing your personal data, we rely on one or more of the following: your consent; performance of a contract with you; compliance with a legal obligation; or our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the Service, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights.
4. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share information only as follows:
- With our readers and team: our astrologers and authorized staff access the details you submit so they can prepare and deliver your reading.
- Service providers: hosting, payment processing, email delivery, analytics, customer support, and security providers that act on our instructions under appropriate confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
- Legal & safety: where required by law, subpoena, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of SOULSTARR, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to standard confidentiality protections.
- With your consent: in any other case where you have given us explicit permission.
5. Cookies, Analytics & Tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies for essential site functionality, to remember your preferences, and to collect aggregate analytics that help us understand how the Service is used. We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect some functionality.
6. International Data Transfers
Your information may be processed and stored on servers located outside your country of residence, including in jurisdictions whose data-protection laws may differ from yours. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for such transfers.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize it.
8. Security
We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. You provide information at your own risk.
